So, I Was Playing with Fire
This isn't the actual piece I started with. It was about half the length, maybe four inches long but it came off of the same pick up truck coil spring.
This is my homemade forge made from fence posts, a tractor disc and a tire rim. The fuel source is regular charcoal and the air supply comes from a $9.00 hair dryer I picked up from Wal-Mart. I can reduce diamonds to ash with this puppy.
This is the "rough" blank I pounded and twisted from the bit of coil spring.
Here's the proof that I made the piece. Yep, that's my scull and crossed bones tattooed hand.
Here's the pretty knife all nice and finished after one quenching (to harden the steel back up), three temperings (too toughen it so it's no longer brittle) and a polishing on the blade portion only because I'm artsy like that. Let's not forget the sharpening. I can shave with this little beasty.
The "Dragon Tail" (that's what I'm calling it) is about 8 1/2 to 9 inches in over all length with a 4 inch or so razor sharp edge.

Project 100: Time To Kick It Up
I personally notice a difference from the first Project 100 pic. It may just be me. Well I have noticed a difference in energy. I have a little more pep in my step.
Well... That could be the wonderful woman in my life. You know, the one I still refuse to share any information about.
This week I am going to focus on upper body workouts primarily as that is my weakness right now (at least in my opinion).
So, it's going to be straight up push-ups. I'll throw in the leaners too but the primary focus will be full on real push-ups in the whole variety I know: regulars, wide arm and close grip. There will be at least 100 on the ground push ups on top of the leaners I do at work. I'm also going to hit the weights in the evenings after work and every other day throw in some squats and calf raises just to keep my legs active until the lower body work out next week.
Also, next week I am going to add a polling thingy at the side of my blog so you, my viewers get to pick the Torture of the Week.
I forgot how addictive working out is.
For those of you who read my blog but can't comment you can email me at themissourisavage@yahoo.com and tell how great I am or how much I suck or you can ask for strength-building work-out tips. I know quite a few....

Butterpants
Okay, so I've only been doing project 100 for just over a week now and thought you/I can't really see the results yet I can feel them.
More energy? Not so much.
It's my jeans. Yep. I have a pair of jeans I bought that were just too small but I have had to, in the recent past, grab a couple sticks of butter to slide them on, simply because everything else was dirty. Now, however, they aren't so tight. I can breath with them on. This has only been one week (plus a day). No aerobic exercise has been included as of yet.
100 of any exercise may see like a lot . It is but the results are there. You don't have to do 100. You can do 20 reps or 10 or whatever. But do them every day and build it up.
Exercise is cumulative.

Project 100 Update (as promised)
For me there really hasn't been any noticeable change but then I don't stare at myself in the mirror.. Okay so I do... I have pretty eyes. Yeah. I just look in my own eyes.
I think I am going to, for the next few weeks at least focus on two primary exercises; squats and push ups since the both hurt so good (I exaggerate) but they provide the quickest results appearance-wise.
I think I'll have some coffee.
